Also at our house right now are Leah, Kiara, Jane and Josiah (down for their naps). Family time is good any time of the year but the fact that it's Christmas just makes it way better. The turkey is in the oven, I finished my turkish delight this morning, sweet potatoes are boiling away, cranberry sauce was made yesterday, the fire is on downstairs, presents under the fragrant douglas fir upstairs, paper snowflakes in the windows, rain falling softly outside....so typical of Vancouver this time of year.
Tuesday morning I underwent my wisdom teeth extraction. And happily aside from a slight bit of swelling and a mouth that can't chew meat very well (much to my distress) I've been recovering quite nicely. I'm taking my antibiotics but stopped the T3s because my mouth wasn't very painful and currently have 2 ice packs pressed to my cheeks. I know quite a few people have been praying for a swift recovery and for that I would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU!! Your prayers have been much appreciated and welcomed with open arms.
So i pray for peace in your families this Christmas, may you find joy in the Lord as you experience His love for you. Imagine sending your only Son into the world to die for a bunch of sinners! I'm constantly overwhelmed by God's overwhelming grace and mercy and I hope each and every one of you comes to a new understanding of that sacrifice this year.
Merry Christmas and much love!
