Today the most catastrophic image-reducing event occurred to me at work. I was busy down a back aisle taking apart a broken streetlight (salvaging parts) and realized that i needed to grab something (a screwdriver? a sandwich? can't remember), so i got up from my kneeling position, turned around (very hastily i might add), and SMOKED my face on a bundle of poles sticking out from the shelf! GAHH! Who could've foreseen such a thing! The bridge of my nose was cut (just a bit) and bleeding (just a bit) and the side of my nose and cheek were starting to swell up and turn red. Consequently i had to ice it for an hour or two because i was worried that my face would be permanently scarred (up-side? maybe I'd look a LITTLE bit like a hockey player...:P). ALSO I'm going away for the weekend and i don't want to be seen in public with a bruised and swollen and bloody nose! Dramatic i know. But seriously, it was a traumatizing event.
More about this weekend? I will be traversing the cerulean (hopefully) blue skies in an AIRPLANE (i love flying!) down to Fort Wayne, Indiana for the Salt & Light North American Leader's Conference. Nope, i'm not a leader, but its open to anyone in a Salt & Light church (WCCF, Glenmore, King's, many others, and us). Dad and I are leaving on Thursday at noon, arrive in Minneapolis at 7.30 and have a 2 hour stopover and then on to Fort Wayne (arriving at 10pm). The conference starts the next day and I AM EXCITED! :D
On a side note: Canucks vs. Blackhawks on Friday night!! WOOT WOOT YOU BLACKHAWKS IS GOING DOWWN!!
